Just purchased Minelab Explorer II Help !!

I just purchased the Minelab Explorer II. It's not my first machine but it is my first Minelab. I'm havin a hard time getting it set-up. Can anyone give advice on setting's etc? Are there any trick's to this unit? Thank's.
