Beautiful! Those coins are in great condition considering how long they've been in the ground. Looks like you had a great trip. What part of England did you visit?

Nice coins. Those England hunts always seem to yield a few nice keepers.

Wow !!!!!!! them are some fantastic finds. That sounds like a nice vacation there!!

Colchester, the oldest recorded town in England.

Man, you get Celtic gold every time you go over there, don't you? Awesome! that's the one thing I wanted to find when I was there... And Saxon silver too?!?!

For those of you that don't know, these are the the two great finds you want to dig over there. Well done Ron, that's some great stuff. You kicked some @$$ my friend...

Amazing!!!!!!!! Any idea if you will get them back?

Wow, a couple dream finds fr sure.
Glad you enjoyed yourself over there.
Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Smiles!

Fantastic finds.
Would love to hear the conditions in which they were found.

Super finds! How much do these guided hunts in England run?

I will get all my finds when I go back in March.
I was hunting in plowed fields, terain varies from rough plowed, rolled or planted and smooth as a pool table.
I run trips from Chicago for about 1600 per week, Includes hunting any of the 10,000 acres Chris has permission to hunt, rental van, ride from heathrow airport to colchester, and lodging in a remodeled barn with jacuzzi and sauna. all export paperwork, and shipping if you want your finds shipped back to you, up to 2.2 lbs.
I usually run a 1 week trip in the spring and 2 weeks in the fall.

Congrats for the finds.WTG RON.

Outstanding! Ron

Is that 5 Celtic golds for 3 trips now? Jayson (Stadetuned) is right about those being the two most sought after finds for us pond jumpers who want to go play in 2000 year old historic coin infested dirt ;D Me and Jayson are booked for two weeks starting April 5, hope we get to see you on the trail end of your next trip. Hows it going with the Explorer? are you getting out of the water long enough to practice in the turf? or are you leaving all the oldies in the park for me the next time I come out :-*

Great hunt you had there!

HH Val

Those are awesome finds Ron! I saw you had found those on the Colchester site, a big congrats! HH, Mike

All I can say is WOW!

I showed your post to my wife (the "hint" has been planted ;D)

Hi Ron,

Chris refers to your finds quite a bit. I went on a 2 week treasure hunting "vacation" with Chris last month. Guess I missed the vacation part of it. Got in at 6am, picked up at 9am, in the field by 1pm. Next day up at 7am hunt until 8pm, next day up at 7am hunt until 6pm, for 14 days straight. Vacation??? Nearly killed me. 20 holes and hour easy, times 10 hours a day = 200 holes per day x 14 days = 2800 holes. Vacation??? No way. Trip of a lifetime. Oh yeah!!
