Have lots of these right now. They will be hibernating soon.

great shots. they are such cute little rodents aren't they?

Great pics. Felt like I could reach out and pet one.

Great pictures---and WOW what clarity! The first is my favorite.
Very nice, Ron!!

Thank You Ron! You take some awesome pictures.

Thanks mamabear and ALL.

Yeah they are cute little buggers in a cute rat sort of way.:laughing7: They are friendly and I like having them around though.
..

Gorgeous pics of gorgeous critters. I want one.

AWESOME Photos!!!! What kind of camera do you use? Those shots belong in frames and sold for big money!

Thanks, I use a Canon XSI ( One of the older rebels ) I used a canon 400 mm lens for these.

Hi Frank, Here is a picture I posted a while back. The chipmunks are the small ones and the Gold Mantle Ground Squirrels are the larger ones. (bottom right corner)

This is what we call "ground squirrels" around here. They are smaller than gray or tree squirrels, they're larger than chipmunks and they live in the ground.

Very nice, I was looking at the rebels a while back, but I have been too busy hunting to get around to much else, like buying an awesome camera!

Excellent pics. We have a lot of those rascals here and if we leave the front door open they'll come in the house, since the grandsons have been feeding them. Canon's a good camera, cdsieg. I use the Rebel XS, but there's much to be said for other brands too. Course where I'm at here in the middle of the Rockies it's pretty hard to take a bad pic.
