There was a homeless man with a sign. You know the "Help feed me homeless" thing. I had one 40%er from a box yesterday and I released it back in the wild in the care of this man. I rolled down the window and told him it was silver and to take it down the road and get a couple bucks. He might or he might go to the store and get a beer. It doesnt matter ive had a great week but just to let yall know I did my part to put more silver back out there for the hunt. Cause the gold and silver exchange was about 4 miles down the road and I am banking on him blowing it at the liquor store across from were he was standing. Who knows?

Head back to the liquor store tonight and buy any halves they have. You will get your silver back AND have done a good deed!

Exactly what I was thinking

just keep stacking, just keep stacking, stacking stacking stacking

I've seen talk about Karma. I just wanted to throw this out there.....on CWRs, that I know are short, I will make sure they are right when I return them. I don't go to machines, I do everything by hand. I feel that it is Karma and so far it's paying off. I don't what to cheat anyone out of the coins they should be getting and I feel sorry for the people who cheat a roll just for an extra penny in their pocket. Karma can be a "BEEP", don't mess with it!

I personally dont feel that enabling someones addiction is good karma.....but I have also been known to give pan handlers job applications (especially when the are begging rihht outside of a place with a "now hiring" sign up. I work too hard to give it away!

I cant call what he was going to do with the money. And its not any of my concern. I was just putting money back in to circulation and my intentions were good

If I was homeless I would probably want to be drunk all the time too. Just passed a guy with a sign yesterday, sign said, "Need to pay utilities".....right........I am more apt to give a buck to the guys that hold the sign saying, "won't lie...need beer":laughing7: Either way very nice of you to give that guy some silver.

Try this sometime. Offer one of these people a meal from the burger joint across the street instead of giving cash. They will turn it down. Hear me,,,if I was on skid row and hungry, I'd take the good samarian's offer for a meal.

Now tell me, what's that tell you? Most of them just want cash. I have given lots of cash to street people. It's worth it sometimes just to hear their "schtick." I am a little slow to do the same today. There are professional bums, and if one rejects a meal or an offer of a job clearing some brush, etc..........I leave-em on their own

I would never personally give one a silver though.

McKinney 5900 I agree I have offered the food they don't want it. Here in FL you can get a license to pan handle once in a while there is someone in need. Check the shoes then their eyes. The ones that do it for a living do a lot better than most people working just my half a cent.

Last batch of dime rolls i picked up had 1-2 missing in about 5 rolls. Quarter roll had a dang nickel. I prefer to get shorted by foreign. Much more interesting.

I know there are pro pan handlers out there. The local news did a piece here on it with hidden cameras and watched the bum leave and get into a nice car parked around the block, those guys can make a few hundred bucks a day.

I'm with you, there is so many organizations and churches out there to help true homelessness. I see a bunch of panhandlers in my town of 500k and i haven't seen one that is homeless in a while. When a guy has a inch of dirt on his face and clothes.....he's homeless. All you are doing when you give to them is enabling the bad behavior. there are always exceptions and real down and out on your luck cases out there but what i see is a lot of lazy people.

This is defiantly the way to go and it's also important that your banks trust you when you bring them rolls. When I search cwr of dimes my first step is to weigh them and make up any shortage. Surprisingly I come out ahead overall when people overfill them.

This is true. The "pro bums will not take food. Most homeless I have met, was through a food bank, families and such. They do not stand on street corners and beg. Always looking for work. And most of them are staying with friends, family etc. Kind of under the radar but in need just the same. I gave a family of 3..an older 24 foot trailor. Also gave him a job, doing some construction. Hardest working guy I ever met! My family fed them them a few meals. I took him hunting, loaned him a rifle.. he got himself a nice elk. Gave me half the meet, would not take no for an answer. Saw him the other day, he has a successful landscape/handyman business. My construction business is gone due to injury, economy. so I say Karma works sometimes. He has now helped me out! sorry for rambling on....
Trying like hell, to proud to beg.
