kauai beach hunting with the discovery 1100

vaca on kauai.grrrreat weather. brought a cheap detector with me. couldnt trust the ol tesoro to the airport baggage handlers.this discovery 1100 thing works pretty good.got it at salvation army for 20 bucks.from what i gather this is a radio shak clone of a bounty hunter. has mode function , but i dont know how 2 use. any way in reg mode it beep 3 tones hi for quarters and dimes and copper pennies. medium for zinc pennies and some nickels.low for trash and deeper nickels.well we aint gonna get rich but got some xtra exercise.41 coins for a total of 2.20....ha.

lydgate park 1.30 1hr 15 min ---nice deep sand in main area by protected swimming. beer junk around edges.false reading of iron at waterline evry time.

hanalei bay 45 min 90 cents-- at main pavilion. sand is deeper on center and west end. no falseing at waterline.not sure why at one location not other .hunted waterline zero signals.

so report on newbie beach hunter.i have many years metal detect experiance.but never at beach.never lived near.ah each aspect of treasure hunting slightly different.gotta get me a water machine i know most good jewelry is out there.
