Kebler Pass

Yesterday I was able to take Kebler pass on my way home and it sure was a fine time to drive over it. Lots of Fall colors still hanging on. The drive sure did take away some other things that were heavy on my mind. Scrub Oak country sure does help a lot to clear the mind.

It looks like your are hitting all of the passes around before they close down for the winter! Kebler, Independence Cottonwood - You'd better keep going one day soon the snow will begin to fly!

That's it, thought I'd do that before they close. Independence is good for only once a year if even that. That Aspen to Glenwood traffic is to much of a mess to go over that pass much these days.

Way to much snow fall and snow slides on these high passes to stay ahead of it all in the winters above 12'000 feet. It be a suicide mission for the snow removal crews to stay out of the way of all the avalanches that would take place from the deep snow that piles up almost around the clock up there.

Hey Austin, about the only road up here that doesn't get closed for some period of time is the one I drive to go to work. I keep hopin though.
