keep or sell 90%er's

Im only 20 years old and was wondering whether I should sell my 90%er's now and come out with a 3000% profit or hold on to them and pass them on to my kids. I found all of these from coin roll hunting so its not like i will every take a real lose. I would just lose out on the opportunity cost if these coins don't go up in value in the next 60+ years

Personally, I think it depends on a lot of things. First off is your view of the US dollar and fiat currencies in general. I really don't think that dollar will be around for much longer, so I'm not accumulating many FRNs right now. Next is your view of the silver market, whether you think silver is overpriced or underpriced. If you think it is overpriced, its time to sell, if you think it is underpriced its time to hold or buy. Then there is if there are many things you have to pay like unexpected bills and such. Personally, I believe that silver (and gold) is real money and while I might trade some things (ugly junk silver to shiny silver eagles, or to gold or to collector coins) I don't see just putting your money in the bank is going to do much for you when compared to putting it in silver/gold especially with the rampant inflation that I think will only get worse.

Really, theres no right or wrong way to do it since you are making a profit if you sell now, or you might make a profit in the future or maintain your wealth in the event of a currency collapse, it just depends on your viewpoint in world events.

If you don't need the cash then sit on them. I would hold them as long as you are able to.

I'm one of those "If I only" stories.. I'd hate you to be one also... Keep your stash and keep adding to it.

Tough call - selling half not the worst move at 3000% profit. That is the question a lot of silver bugs face today. Most have a only doubled their silver value where CRH have a long way to go to lose their profit.

I'd keep the 90s that are not deformed in some way. Sell the deformed 90s and 40s, or better yet trade them up toward .999.

save them unless you need the money. I keep all of mine, sometimes I'll trade my 40%ers to upgrade. Silver looks like it's going to do nothing but rise in value. If you sell them now and it goes up to $100 an ounce by years end, you'll be missing out. But you never know, even if you sell them that's a great investment that you already made. I would keep them though.

If you guys are worried about the fiat disappearing then either keep your 90%/40% or trade for gold/silver bullion.

In a case of a collapse of the US money collectors coins aren't gonna get you out of this country.

Keep em. Thats why I love CRH. If you keep the coins you find it is impossible to lose money. If Silver and Gold go to 0 you still have the face value you bought it for. just my 2 cents.

No one ever went broke taking a profit... I'm in the "sell half" camp, that way you lock in some nice profit, but also still have some investment in silver. I'd sell 40%'rs first.

Since you are so young . . . and if your are in college, here is my two cents:

If you are paying tuition, sell half so you don't go into debt with student loans. Keep the other half. It would be nice to see more college kids get out with that degree in hand and debt free.

Or, if you are not in college, sell half, go to college, get a degree in banking and load up on the silver.

I get this or similar questions all the time. If not now then at what price do i sell. Well i can tell you my sell price is last . Yes last, silver will be the last thing i sell .
