I have to say that I was some what surprised when I saw this last night when it came on the screen .

There was a post on most sites the last few weeks saying that there was going to be a price increase on
the systems. But I can understand why as the Dollar keeps dropping in value .

was suppose to be a 5 percent increase. That is not too bad as Minelab just did the same thing
A while back.
It looks like Kellyco and Tesoro finaly made up after almost 20 years.

I have heard one borther has bought out the other. I wonder if that has a little bit to do with it.

As to the price increase: I have heard that was in the works per Tesoro for a number of weeks.

OOps, this is going to be bad for the hobby with more hunters ordering and it will leave less coins and rings for us to find.

It is going to be good for customers that couldn't find a dealer and bad for the independent dealers. I notice Kellyco doesn't offer it with a 10.5" coil yet.

The only Dealer around here sells one brand and i dont consider that getting a fair choice of what to use.
Not having a multi line dealer is not good.
May have to drive 200 miles or more to get a tesoro because the local guy only sells one brand.

One good thing is they are still giveing that..LIFE TIME WARRANTY... And it will be good for Tesoro to go with kellyco there sales will go through the roof... Just so they don't raise there prices as high as Minelab did.....

Like KellyCo needs more of the market share. I was very disappointed to say the least. Prices are up on everything. I hope most everyone supports the local/independent dealers out there. Hope Tesoro doesn't go the route of the "bells and whistles" manufacturers... 8)

This isn't related specifically to Tesoro, but more about the local versus the big mail order dealers. I am a local dealer for White's and Tesoro. I had a gentleman I have known for years (he also knows I sell detectors) call me with questions about an XLT he had bought elsewhere (you know where). I was helpful within reason. Then about a year later, he had the cajones to call me and see if I would buy his detector from him at almost full retail. Needless to say, I declined. Have also had folks come in and want to look at models only to find out they did the mail order thing after getting their questions answered by me. I am not overly thrilled with the new development with k-co and tesoro. Guess the manufacturers have to do what they have to and local dealers will do what we have to.

There are a lot like that get all there info from a local dealer then............... Go to mailorder........... That type will always do that they never change.................
