Hold on there, I just noted your button says Ives Kendrick (with no S) & Co.... This is different that what I was referring to above. Although the two companies May have been connected, according to Tice.

Ok, same date though, according to Tice's Uniform buttons book, whose listed back marks apply to civilian buttons as well.

Ives, Kendrick & Co., Waterbury , CT, 1837-1840. Firm of Dr. Ambrose Ives & Green Kendrick.

Well said tim185! Fyrffytr1 is a good hunting buddy of mine, and talking and learning about the finds from experienced hunters is a treasure in itself!! Keep finding them nice buttons! :thumbsup:

Good going. The back mark book agrees with you. It says 1837 to 1840.
