Yes, I know it's a Kennedy medallion and I know it was produced after November 22, 1963. It appears to be a "quality" item because it has a lot of detail and it has a reeded edge.

But I haven't been able to locate any other information about it. Was it part of a presidential series of some type? Was it a museum gift shop purchase? etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

The were given away as collectable tokens. Several companies did it and there different types of coins. The older ones were brass or copper and I think the last ones that Shell Oil did were aluminum. Tony

There were several sets of these coins put out not long after Kennedy's assasination. I have part of a set put out by Reader's Digest. Each set of coins is a little different. Monty
