Unless they're in very good condition, or you don't have that date and mint, than I would just throw it back in the wild.
 

Nearly all Kennedy halves that ever had the S mintmark are proofs (with the exception of some 1976 S Bicentennials that were 40% silver and uncirculated). With this said, they were never intended to be in circulation and are proofs. Sadly I am assuming with them coming from circulation they are impaired proofs (proofs that have seen circulation). Me personally I would keep them as aside from the generally lower mintage, it would be a interesting addition to a collection.
