I have been hunting an 1853 Farm House for the past four years. I have found a lot of neat items and coins on the land. Yesterday I tried out my 5x8 coil on my AT Pro. I found this 1878 Indian Head penny about fifty feet from a 1877 Seated Liberty quarter that found in January. Thanks for viewing.

Thanks all for the compliments on the IH. That is probably the best condition one i have found.

Lots of nice IHPs found this weekend it seems!!!! Keep up the good work all!

the dates should be switched...1878 quarter and 1877 IHC. 1877 IHC is big bucks.

GREAT indian head. Lovely patina.

The penny is in nice shape too.

Thanks all, I'm still hinting that elusive 1877 IH. I have pulled 37 IH from that field. Any where from 1864 to 1906. They are getting scarce in the field.

Great looking coin, congratulations! :occasion14:

Thanks, Professor

Nice Indian. This is what would be considered a semi key date with the 1877, 08-S and 09-S being the key dates.
