We found a new spot the other day and it produced this nice key date LC. My brother Brian found this one. We thought, at first, it was 1822, but after the peroxide bath, turns out it was an 1823. In the scan you may be able to see the small tail of the "2" at the bottom right of the "3". I can see it fairly easily under magnification. There is NO cracking of either side so it is not the restrike of 1823. Lists at G-4 in Redbook from 2007 at $60. VG-8 is $120. I think $60 is more like it. Being a ground piece, if it was for sale, $30-40 is tops. Enjoy! HOGGE P.S. Sorry for the "fuzz" on the coin. Musta been on the scanner. :tard:
