KILLER hunt!

Nice. I need to find some native american artifacts here in va! Very surprising to me that so many are right there on the surface. I relic hunt on farm fields near a creek that should surely be holding some. Any tips?

That bare ground sure was pretty. Wish farmers made ALL the fields look that clean!! Looked like a fun hunt Trev.
HH.....

Awesome hunt Guys. :occasion14:
What did you call those large round stones, and what were they used for?
Thanks,
MM

I'd be thrilled if I found all those in a lifetime, much less in one hunt! OMGosh that was amazing

Great flint found in my home state. I used to do that when I was a boy in south central Ky. It's hard to find them in today's no till fields.:icon_thumright:

modern miner, i beleive you are referring to discoidals which were used in a game called chunkee which involved rolling the stone and throwing a spear at it.

Holy smoke! its like a "Native American civil war battle site"

I can remember as a kid, always hunting for arrow heads. As I got older I just figured this dream was somehow muddled into a snipe hunt, just to give the adults a break from the young and hyperactive.
Those crazy old folk were apparently telling the truth, just not truthful as to the "where"

Imagine it being just that easy, strolling through a field, akin to pickin wildflowers.

Talk about the oldest trick in the book, "Lookest over there, haha, madest thou look!"

Crooked old farts.

Wow never expected this many replies, thanks very very much guys. It was a awesome day I can't lie, very fun times with friends. Yes we called them discoidals, spelling help . According to prehistoric drawing they claimed to have been for a game where they roll them and hit with a dart point, but who knows,no one that's why this is so fun. Thanks for the views

Great video! Great hunt!
