Killing clad and first ring with the Patriot!

Hi everybody! Went back to the High School last Sunday, where I found a 1940 wheat. Ran 3 tones, zero disc, zero thresh, sens at 35, due to intense emi. found a couple dimes at 3-4" right away, then got a solid signal, but right between zinc and dime. Dug it and found this gold plated copper ring. Seemed that the dimes were jumping out of the ground! Also found 7 quarters, the oldest a 1966. Some were about 8" with sens at 35! Since I found a 1940 wheat and a 1966 quarter. I am hoping there is some silver here too! Spent less than 2 hrs there. Fun hunt, nothing spectacular, but 28 coins & good practice getting to know/trust this great new machine.

Pretty amazing how the thing can pinpoint and zero in on targets at low gain, isn't it?
8" at 35 sense...way cool, and 0 disc with all the possible jumping over so many targets well...that ain't for sissies.
Curious to see what you think of all metal someday.

Gonna be a great year.

Silver is just one kind of precious metal this thing seems to love to find.
If you swing over it you will find your fill.

My very first hunt with my F70 where I had no experience and no clue about anything I found this thing.
A very small mangled mower hit Chai pendant...my very first silver with the F70 but far from my last.
I was using the elliptical concentric, had close to factory settings using 4H tones and I was swinging super fast, (and I mean FAST!), because I was searching the outfield area of an old baseball field looking for just one more good Hail Mary target before I left to go home.
Even with that fast coil sweep I got a high tone that just sang out loud and clear that made me stop in my tracks and go back and examine this signal.
I got a 6" depth number from more than one way so I went after it thinking it was just a common clad dime but I wanted to see if the depth was accurate.
It was dead on correct and when this thing popped up instead of a dime I was shocked.
This was the first time my jaw dropped using this thing but definitely not the last.

Silver, gold, platinum or whatever else...just swing over it and you should find it.

How many times have you heard people say the F70/F75 platform is sub par in the silver finds due to the 13Khz? I'm not going to claim they're the best silver sniffers on the market.....but...they definitely will hang in there with a lot of them. I found super slick 1915 Barber quarter that was down the blade length of my Sampson t-handle and an easy 3". Absolutely a 10" deep target. The signal was definitely faint!....but it was there. Consistent numbers too on the screen locked in @ 88-90. Was surprised it was dead on at that depth with the stock coil.

Another silver I found the end of last season was in grass that was a little on the higher side (farm field) and this 6" half dime gave me a very audible signal enough stop.....and check it out closer. Glad I did!
