King Tide

Wait until low tide.
 

Low tide only lasts few minutes, I always go 2-3 hour before low tide and then walk tide out and back in.
 

Watch the winds.. they control the water more then anything.. specially in smaller bodies of water like the Bays

Me , here, I like off shore winds.. Maybe different there..
 

Cross currents. Wave action that comes straight in and goes straight out does little more then the piling of more sand. But cross currents create scalding, seams, low spots, etc., because they move sand. At high tide you can often eyeball these currents and then hunt those areas during the low tide cycle.
 

Right now Id take any tide in Fla. :tongue3:
 

And take your Sand Shark.......the F4 won't do you a bit of good in the wet. :laughing7:
 

When at the low tide keep looking in those puddles sometimes there could be an old bottle
