I did a two and a half hour hunt today next to the stream where I found a Spanish Half Real yesterday. Anyways, I worked my way along the river and was satisfied with the results. My first find was a musket ball, my second find was a musket ball, next thing I found was an old bullet from around the 1800's, then I found what looks like a small smashed musket ball. I tried closer to the stream and found a colonial tombac button. After finding the button I found another bullet and then another musket ball. Shortly after I found an old rusted pocket knife. That was the first part of the hunt, I have messed up with the order I found them in but I tried to remember. Next I moved a bit down the river and crossed it. On that side of the river I found a nice shoe buckle tongue, around twenty feet away I dug a complete knee buckle. I crossed back over after some more intense search and after find a weird sheet brass thing. I decided to work my way back to the car and got a signal near where I found the Half Real yesterday. After some hard work with roots I finally recovered it, it looked like a broken thin kind of bent copper coin. It sort of looks to me like it could be an old half penny or some hammered coin, the size is right for one, any help? Is this a coin or some kind of washer

Could this be a coin
