Well had a pretty bad day at work so went down to the river was there about 15 min & walked up on this knife & my day got a WHOLE lot better!! ;D
I can't get the pics to show the color very well but man it has some!
Looks like my dry spell is really ending. 8)

Killer Cobbs Blade!!!

That definitely has some awesome colors and some great beveling.

Congrats on your find and thanks for the pictures.

I just hope I didn't use up my luck on this....Oh well if I did it's worth it! lol

You can't tell in the In Situ pic but to the right about 1' or so from the knife is the edge of the river :icon_pale: :icon_pale:. If the river had gone up it would have been gone! Makes you wonder how many have been "lost"! :-[

Once again Thanks 4 all of your comments,

Spectacular find! I'd love to see something like that staring up at me from a row.

PS. FYI if anyone remembers the pottery I shards I posted on here awhile back I found this really close to the spot I found them at! 8)

Nice knife Phil and I like the in situs.

The material is a Kansas Flint Hills Permian chert. The great color is due to heat treating the chert.
