Knife ID

I found this knife today and I don't know if it's a hunting knife or if it's from a war. The knife handle was wrapped in black electrical tape when I found it, so it left black imprints. Underneath the tape, the handle looks like bone with a homemade wood fix for a portion that broke off. When I first found the knife I thought it was from Vietnam, but after seeing the bone handle im thinking it's older. There are no markings on the knife. If anyone can give me an idea of what war, if any, that this knife could have been used in I would really appreciate it. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

It was in an abandoned house near where I live that was about to fall down. There is cool old stuff in there that im trying to save before the house collapses and crushes it all.
