I purchased a couple kitchen knives at a garage sale one is a LF&C Universal with a 11 inch blade 16.25 inches overall. The other is a AAA1 A. J. Jordan Sheffield England with a 12 inch blade 17.25 inches overall. I did find a universal 14.5 in. for sale online for $278.00 in the same shape as the one I have. And I know Jordan was an American who moved to England to make knives but not much else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Person asking 278 for an LF&C kitchen knife is nuts, these usually sell for under ten bucks around here if one can even find an interested buyer. Photos would help. If you want real values on things like this look them up on ebay and then got to "sold items" on the left toolbar and then you will see what they actually sold for rather than looking at what someone is asking for one. In general, most LF&C pocket and kitchen or butcher cutlery are not highly valued although there are some "bowie" type knives made by that firm that will bring 100-300 hundred bucks.

It is true people will pay double for stuff on ebay which they can buy at walmart. You never know.
