Labor Day Weekend

I plan on taking the fam to the beach this weekend and would like to break out my amatuer wand and poke the sand. Is it leagel to scan the beaches around Alantic Beach?

Sorry for the lack of proper terminology, but not only is the detector a newbie!

Sure, Atlantic beach is fair game. Same goes for Nags Head, Head Line, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, Duck, Corolla and North to Viriginia state line if I remember correctly! Just avoid North of oregon inlet, Hatteras island and Ocracoke. Hope this helps and good luck!

Avoid the Fort Macon area. Everywhere else should be fair game. Good Luck!

I was down there for Labor Day weekend and there was a ton of sand on the beach. I wonder if Hanna removed much?? My family enjoyed the week down there but I would have prefered the next week when Hanna rolled through. Oh well...
