I went for about a two hour soak in my favorite lake. Found a 1950 Franklin Half Denver mint and some wheat.
Enjoy the pix! 20200720_145351.webp20200720_145357.webp20200720_145341.webp20200720_150559.webp20200720_150604.webp20200721_110835.webp20200721_110759.webp

FAN HALF TASTIC

I thought folks back east called them ponds? Excellent clean up on that wet digger, grats!

I found a 1948 Franklin half 4 inches deep along a sidewalk in Plattsburgh, NY in 1985. Still remember how cool it felt. Oldest half I ever got.

Nice size silver, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

I've seen that up in Maine, around here we call them lakes. Thanks for the comment

My oldest was a 1936 Walker found in the same lake, the one summer I found 13 or 14 halfs in the same lake. (over the course of the summer)
Thanks

Old Ben cleaned up quite nicely.
Thank you, I use electrolysis and baking soda paste

My first thought when I saw the leather strap with the brass button was horse tack... probably no though. :icon_scratch:

That strap is rubber, sometimes those bathing caps have on the opposite strap brass grommets where the pin on the buckle can go into, they also sound very nice. Thanks Dave
