No date available Renee Lalique , is it for the dumpster or should I keep it ?
What you have is a Ronces Vase turned into a lamp, art deco, ca 1920s.No date available Renee Lalique , is it for the dumpster or should I keep it ?
Both unique and commercial works of René Lalique are in the collections of a large number of public museums around the world including the Museu Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, the Lalique Museum of Hakone in Japan, the Musée Lalique [fr] and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in France, the Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim [de] in Germany, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum and the Corning Museum in New York State, and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
If the vase hadn't been converted to a lamp it would be worth A LOT OF MONEY, multiple $1000s, the blue color is one of the most desirable colors of this vase, but as it's now a lamp, the value drops considerably, to several $100 to maybe if lucky a $1000 or maybe on a good day $2000.Sorry bout that
What was it before it was a lamp, can’t I just take that lamp part off?If the vase hadn't been converted to a lamp it would be worth A LOT OF MONEY, multiple $1000s, the blue color is one of the most desirable colors of this vase, but as it's now a lamp, the value drops considerably, to several $100 to maybe if lucky a $1000 or maybe on a good day $2000.
It was just a vase, for like flowers, etc., it won't make a difference if you take the lamp part off, whoever made it into a lamp already devalued it because they drilled a hole in the bottom of the vase for the lamp cord! What was it before it was a lamp, can’t I just take that lamp part off?
Wow thanks for the info, what a shameIt was just a vase, for like flowers, etc., it won't make a difference if you take the lamp part off, whoever made it into a lamp already devalued it because they drilled a hole in the bottom of the vase for the lamp cord!
