I 'm going though boxes and found these in a box from my grandmothers house. One of her daughters spent time in Italy. I'm thinking that these might have come from her. Any ideas on where they were made 7 by whom? Thanks

China painting was a popular hobby in the early 1900's so "Lamaster" was likely the artist for your pieces. Pieces were fired in white, over-painted by hobbyists and then refired. There should be an under-glaze maker's mark on the underside of the pieces which will enable you to date them.

Can’t help much, apart from this. The items below were auctioned in Panama City, Florida in 2017, described as “Handpainted Tea Set Signed La Master [ie as two words]: Gold trim floral decorated teapot, covered sugar and creamer. Teapot 8" high.”

They had an auction estimate of $100 - $150 (which must be some kind of joke!) and sold for $10. The auction was of “European Treasures and other items” but I’m sceptical that these are from Europe. Perhaps someone’s idea of period European china.

There was other piece in the box that had a piece of paper taped to it that said it was hand painted by a distant relative but not by that name. Thanks

Thanks Red Coat. I'm going to see if any family members might want them.
