While I have gotten permissions through family and friends I've never felt comfortable asking a complete stranger can I dig up your yard. This 1870's home is up for sale and I contacted real estate agent. I own a lawn maintenance company and I made a deal with her and owner that I would clean around the house in exchange for some detecting. I've got my work cut out for me but it may be worth it. The real estate agent deals in historic homes so if I don't screw this up there could be many more jobs/detecting in the future. I'll be doing next week and I'll post finds.

very cool looking place . there's bound to be some nice coins there. good luck.

You are in the perfect career to get some great permissions.Hope this gets you a bunch of goodies.

Great place to hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Looking forward to seeing your finds!

Sounds like a fair trade.

My dandy turned out to be a dudly. Over the course of the week I heard about how this place had been searched over dozens of times. This house sits on 3 acres and only detected the front yard and barely had any hits. Moved to the east side which was overgrown because I hadn't cleaned yet and got a few things. 1930 wheat. A flattened/rolled wheat penny, large copper rivet that looked like it came off saddle and few more modern coins in the '70s. It was a bust but I met the new owner and she may have me back. Half this property is grown over and I know there has to be areas detectors couldn't get to.
