Large 1914 coin - ***SOLVED**

I dug this 1914 coin today at the early 1900's house I've been detecting at lately. At first I thought I had dug a large cent, but unfortunately it was not to be. :BangHead:
Does anyone know what it is?
Country and $ amount?
It measures 30mm.

I was thinking maybe it's a coin brought back from WW1? :dontknow:

Thanks for your help,
MM

NEAT coin! I'm not the coin person, but it looks like George V British penny. I'm sure CRUSADER or some of the other Brits could tell you exactly what it is.

I'm loving this yard :)

Thanks Breezie. If it's a 100 yr old British coin then that must be a MODERN coin across the pond. :tongue3:
Maybe brought back from WW1 then. :dontknow:

Thanks HD. We'll consider this one solved as a 1914 one penny from Great Britain. Here are a few pix I found on Ebay.

Neat penny. Keep at it and you may dig some really old stuff on that property.

Thanks D. I thought of you and your comment about peeling back an onion when I dug that coin.

Great job! Those are some huge coins aren't they. Can't imagine toting a pocket full of those around. :tongue3:
100 yrs old isn't too shabby.
