Large Brass

This item was found at a town that existed about from 1900 to 1930.
It is made from solid brass except for a threaded steel rod that went down thru the center of it, hence the rusty look.
It has pin holes in the ears that look like levers would have been attached to it.
Looks like it might have set on a 4" post or pipe.
Appears that it might have functioned like an oversized lever operated corkscrew.
There is no writing on it.

I don't believe this will get the green check mark, but then there are some awfully knowlegeable
people here.

Perhaps not for lights but for street name sign. Sign would attach through the pin holes.
