It is already extremely brittle and you are losing detail. Try the olive oil and see if that helps. FYI, it is a Draped Bust style.

It looks like a draped bust to me as well. I would use straight Olive oil too. A few weeks soaking followed by a delicate going over with a bamboo kabob skewer.
