Large Copper Pitcher?

I acquired this large copper pitcher yesterday. I have no idea if it's just a cheap decorative peice or what.

I cannot find anything that resembles it online, and appreciate any input I can get.

It is a later decorative piece imo. I was thinking it was produced in the middle east like so many things like it, but looking at the motif I think it looks like an Aztec relief design and think it came from Mexico. It does look better made then the import pieces I've seen from places like India.
