I haven't got out for much hunting lately but I did get a couple hours in along the shoreline of a old property. Closer to the yard edge I found two silver dimes. A 1963 and a very dark 1948. At first I didn't even think it was silver when it first popped out. Farther down in the sandy area I got a flat button and a 1864 Nova Scotia one cent. The surprise of the day was when I went over to a black muck low tide area. It was covered in old glass and pottery shards. I got a big hit and out came the all brass mortise lock. I dug others before that were in terrible shape but the black mud must have preserved it. Its still shinny and seems like it could almost work. Thanks for looking! [emoji2]
