Large Flake - Perhaps a tool

My wife found this one.

I enjoy finding "single-blow" tools. I do not often find them and this one is a dandy
IMHO.

Looks a bit like a Hendrick's but who knows.

Indeed! I enjoy the wonderment. Books and references are great but wondering who held it, thinking about what was it really used for, and how many other uses were built into it....amazing to me.
I can barely sharpen a knife, let alone make one!

Quite honestly I don't see anything that shows man made alteration or use. Just my opinion.

Agree with flinthunter, maybe with better pics of the "worked" edge...but looks natural so far.

I don't see any edge work on the stone either, maybe it's the shadows but it looks to be water worn and tumbled granite.

I see the edge with some obvious chips off it but I really don't think they are man made. Too random & not making the edge sharp. I see the resemblance to a tool, but just a rock in my opinion

I agree, what he is calling edge work looks like a natural break with water smoothing it. Good one for the rock garden

We have a great rock garden! We store this stuff outside.
