Large German Silver

My first really large 19th century silver coins (about the size of a dollar piece). Normaly I only find the very much smaller silver or the copper small change. This coin is another "first" for me

I was just saying to my Dad the other day how we hardly ever get the large silver Halfcrown / Crowns.

What happened today he got a 1948 Halfcrown, 1947 was the last silver date.
