Its slightly sticky too. There seems to be a hook on one end that somebody had put in so they had obviously hung it up on the wall for some reason. I have no idea what this is I have no idea what what is it maybe somebody can tell me a little bit about it that would be awesome. I really don?t even know if I want to use it as a bowl because I don?t want to wreck it

Welcome to Tnet. Sounds cool! would like to see it.

Reads like a "noggin" made from a burl. Only larger.

Burl bowl.
Not sure why the notch/chunk is missing. Could have been a rotten spot. (?) Or odd growth.

Use it.

The sticky could be beeswax or an oil , or both to help preserve it and reduce odds of splitting.

Username checks out [emoji23] Welcome btw.

Looks like a cool bowl. Could just be sticky because someone had it hanging near the kitchen and they cooked greasy food. If you clean, I?d treat with butcher block oil but there?s likely someone who works wood on here. They probably have more knowledge.

Its quite large. To big to actually cook anything in. And its heavy. One person can carry it but its not light. I don’t even know what kind of wood it is.
