Hello all -
Found the 1906 Indian and the medal in a yard near Howell Sun the 22nd. When I dug the medal, I thought I had a LC and was initially disappointed. After showing Cory (land owners son I let use my Bounty Hunter), he was very excited and mentioned it was the only award he ever won in school and lost it in 2009 (the day he won it). Rewarding to dig and give someone something that means so much to them! Anyway, the rest of the finds came from a yard last Sat. Both of these yards were "previously hit" and I was surprised to dig such an old NY Militia Button. Front reads EXCELSIOR (motto of New York State). Back side reads SILVER'D SURFACE WARRANTED. Only dug 3 Wheats (41D, 45D, 55). Crotal bell cleaned up nicely and is still ringing. Good luck out there!!

Early New York militia!! crazy! awesome find Brent WTG!! that Indian looks nice too! Is that thing on the right part of a bed post? nice diggin bro, I think its worthy of an honorable mention on returning that medal!
