These are from my last couple of hunts .I dug them last month but have not had time to post lately. It was forty degrees with strong winds and the next morning it was 5 degrees below. Yea ,I am pretty much done digging for the next several months but there are lots of things I have been putting off until winter so maybe I can get some of them knocked out. Nothing amazing by any means but I did find a couple of mercury's that are in bad shape ,one buffalo that has a good date of 1935 and a dragon medallion that has Asian writing on it.I think it is Japanese but not 100% on that. I thought it was a piece of slag and it started to go into my junk bag until I took a second look at it. I also found a couple of buttons that I always like finding and some other common wheat's and one war nickle . Not a bad last hunt but I am already wanting to get back out there and do some more digging but I will have to wait until March or April for that . I just want to say thanks to every one for making this the best treasure hunting site on the net! I really have enjoyed looking at finds from all over the world and have been simply amazed over the last three years at the finds I have seen. Hope all are staying warm and Merry Christmas to all. :)

Re: last digs of the year ( strange medalion)

That "strange medallion" is the 1936 Jack Armstrong Dragon Talisman, a premium of the Jack Armstrong radio series sponsored by Wheaties breakfast cereal. There was an accompanying chart game, "Adventures with the Mystical Dragon Talismans." The talisman's inscription translates as, “China – The Key to the Door of the Room is Very Precious.” It's worth $20 in Good condition, and $50 if Fine.

WTG on the ID PBK!!!!

Wow PBK! Have you ever considered changing your handle to "Mr ID Guy"? I'm continually impressed with your ID skills and I know just who to go to the next time I find something mysterious.

You'll be crowned the ID God of All Things Unknown if you ever figure out the 15-place star counter thingy over on the Whatzit Forum. (you probably already know and are just having fun watching everyone torture themselves with it!)

HH,
SgtSki

Nice finds!! Great Buff Nickel. Nice to see some with the date on it. Keep up the great hunts.

Birdman, VERY glad you found the "strange medallion"! I found one a couple years ago at an older home in an area that was predominately Asian, and just assumed it was a Far East watch fob, if there is such a thing.
Wonderful ID PBK. You're a machine!

Regards, and happy holidays to all,
Jules

I'd bet you could send PBK a picture of your car keys and he (she? me new guy, I don't know) could tell you what color it is and what kind of tires are on it. ;D and Ms. Elf even has her original game and the envelope!! :D

I knew that if there were keepers to be found in North Dakota, you would find 'em, Bird! ;)

NEAT medallion! Silver AND a buffalo with a date! 8)

Congrats on those finds! Nana :)
