Last hunt of 2013 puts me in the 1800's club :-)

Hunted the local library yard and found a 1919 Wheatie and a Toasted 1895 O counterfeit barber dime... the dime rung up as a zinc cent

DOESNT LOOK COUNTERFEIT TO ME - JUST LOOKS BEAT - EITTHER RAN OVER IN THE ROAD OR MAYBE IN A FIRE
 

Nice wheat ! Some of the battered cents give odd readings on my M6 also. HH in 2014!

Nice finds. The 1895 0 is the key date of the Barber dimes.

That happens to my m6 also, I had a 1912s wheat that still even out if the ground beeps in the 30's. I thought it was weird but glad I dug it.

Nice to score some 1800's silver - I'm pretty sure you have the real deal - just road kill ! Happy New Year .
 

Thanks guys the only reason I think its counterfeit is because it rings up as a zinclon?? And if it's real it may not be a O mint after all that was only a assumption because I looked online and they said the counterfeits were made in that year... because when I finally was able to see a date it looks like 18*5 so it has to be a 1895 because a 1885 would be a seated, you can bearly see the outline of Barber on the obverse...
