I took advantage of slightly warmer weather that we got towards
the end of November for a couple of hunts.
The last hunt, this past weekend, the ground was nearly frozen and so I bid goodbye to the 2019 season.
Apart from several buttons, crotal bells, thimble and a couple of toasted coppers, I did find some interesting stuff.
An old Yale & Townes lock was a welcome surprise and so was my first anthropomorphic clay pipe bowl.
My favourite find thou was my only good button, although in bad shape, a 76th Regiment of foot.
