This field is the last of our ploughed fields until harvest in Aug/Sep. This weekend is our last chance on this one as the beans will be showing soon. (4 hours)

We left this to last as its full of 20th century trash. Many fires have burnt most of the finds. Never had many older items of here, but we will stick to the system this weekend & see what shows itself.

Pleased with a new record button count of 43 in 8 man hours.
New Zealand Forces Button - new type
Victorian Military Button
Livery Button
Nice couple of Lead figures
1897 Chester Silver Thimble :)
1825 Silver spoon handle with engraved initials on the front.

An encouraging start to the field.

Is the livery button the octagonal item? Amazing stuff, as always. So where exactly will I be staying when I come out there come Aug/Sept? Should I bring my own pillow?

Nice finds CRUSADER. I have noticed in some of your site pics there are wooded lots between the fields. Do you hunt these as well? I would think there would be relics there also. Most of my relics come from the woods here.

I have tried the wooded areas without success. Must be stuff in some of them but they are not a priority in our area. (full of shotgun shells & rubbish)

I can surely relate to the shot shells. I hate 22 rifles. :D

I agree 100%, I have searched many forests in England, and although I know there must be something there someplace, I have never found it.
After about 20 minutes you get crazy with all the shells, bullets, junk.... and leave. It seems like the English shoots at everything thing in the forests,
I guess its not a nice time in the hunting season to be detecting in them...

Nice stuff again Cru + Cru-Dad... Well its now down to the grasslands I guess...
