Last three hunts - two silvers, a truck, & a car wash token
Hey everyone. Last week I hit an old house with Mark. It had a lot of potential, but the only silver I found was a Rosie and an old silver plate spoon. After the hunt, we sat and chatted over a beer and cheese crackers with the homeowner. She is a neat lady, and the added bonus was her pooch. What a beauty!

Then, I hit the mean streets of Elgin over the weekend with the regular Elgin street people, Tim & Mayo. Nothing to write home about as far as finds, but it was good to get out with them and to see Tim pull his Indians up.
Today, I was out for a bike ride and spied a yard that I thought I'd like to hunt. I asked for and received permission to hunt it, and came back 15 minutes later with the proper equipment. Ten minutes into it, I found a '46 George at 3 inches. There were a lot of roots in that yard. Then wheat after wheat until I found an old aluminum car wash token. No clue where this car wash was or if it was a chain.

Then, a worker came out & I was showing him what I had found so far and a picture of last year's silver finds. I was telling him about how now and then an old toy car or truck comes up. After our chat, he went back inside, and twenty minutes later, I found a cool little old truck cab.

So that little spur of the moment yard hunt turned out to be the most productive of the three.
Thanks for checking out my finds and HH!
