My hunting buddy and myself went on a trip down, way down, the bayou Wed and Thur. Tokens have been poping out of the ground and with all the fresh dirt, relics are just basking in the sun. we dug lots of targets and were really suprised at some. The watch fob really interests me because it could be Civil War. I am still trying to confirm that. The bullet is a Gardner. The larger coin is a seated quarter, in very bad condition, no date. The two tokens are in bad condition. The al one is Woodlawn Plantation, good for one meal. The brass one is Alhambra store, good for 50 in merchandise. ( 3 tokens this month) The spoon is solid silver with initials AD on the handle.
The little suprise was the one Reale. I was crossing a cane row to start another row and got a blip from my detector. As i stepped backward to get my feet between the rows and straigten myself, i looked down and saw the small disc. The shield was facing up and i knew what it was right off. 1786 one reale. I thought we were on an old site but that confirmed it.
I don't have a pic yet but also found a shield nickle in good condition. I haven't cleaned a lot of stuff yet and sometimes you get a surprise when you do. Thanks for looking, Brent.
