Got out with L4S for a short hunt on Monday. Hit up a new spot and spent about an hour there. Nothing really going on except for a no date buffalo and some shotgun shells. On the walk back to the car, I got a loud shallow signal which sounded similar to a can lid but was slightly different and pinpointed smaller. Dug it up and was looking at an 1848 LC @ 2".
Moved over to a second spot for another hour and half and got the rest of the stuff except for the oldest coin below.
The Washington was found on the surface, the sterling medallion as well as the merc and the barber were only 3" deep. Gotta love the easy digs! Also dug what I believe is a brass letter opener with an Elk head on the handle. This sucker is heavy!
On Tuesday, got out again with L4S and Treasurefiend where I found the seated dime(Video to follow soon). This had to be the worst signal I have ever dug, but it was still showing me signs of something good and it was! Also got a few IH's and a V nickel. We checked out a couple of new places in the area but didn't turn anything else up.
Here are the goodies.
