Took off on a drive randomly looking for a yard to hunt. First house I came to was a large 2 story 40’s style home. They said it had been hunted, but I gave it a shot anyway. Found new quarters, nickels and dimes, along with pennies, but nothing old. They missed a lot though.
The next spot I found was an older home around the same era, but single level and brick columns in the front on the porch. I’ve had good luck with this type of home.
The owner said his son had hunted it hard, but only found nails from the roof. I was really ready to give it a try now! After a little asking, he talked to his wife and said sure go ahead. I was off!!!
Found the usual clad all over. Got to the edge away from the road, and out pops an old wore Merc. I keep working around the corner, and there’s a Silver Roosevelt. Both of them rang up as a 27 on the 800, and they were both around 6” deep. 1964 D Roosevelt, 1919 Merc. I like double Silvers!!! Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!!!!
