I wish this was whole. I found this Kit Carson toy gun today.
1950s.
I also found this fired musket ball. I am thinking 32 cal?
When were these used mostly. I am guessing mid to late 1800s.
What models were popular for hunting then?

That would have been a great cap gun! Not a musket ball, might be a muzzleloading rifle or a percussion revolver ball. It could also be a piece of buckshot which is still in use today.
