The machines are designed to weigh and scan coins mostly 1975 forward it seems anything older weighs and measures different then newer coins, and it scans for the metal alloy of the coins most new coins are a mix of usually 3 metals it seems and older ones are 1 or 2 metals. What causes rejection of legit coins?
...good condition 1947 no mint wheatback...
That's a good day of coinstar recoveries!Yealded a good condition 1947 no mint wheatback.
Put today's coinstar total to $2.38 with what I posted earlier today.
Seems the failure rate is out of proportion to the level of tech. Sort of disappointing. I wonder if they have a disclaimer about the accuracy of their system in general, and specifically as to the validity of the count/classification.The machines are designed to weigh a scan coins mostly 1975 forward it seems anything older weighs and measures different then newer coins, and it scans for the metal alloy of the coins most new coins are a mix of usually 3 metals it seems and older ones are 1 or 2 metals.
Of that I am not sure.Seems the failure rate is out of proportion to the level of tech. Sort of disappointing. I wonder if they have a disclaimer about the accuracy of their system in general, and specifically as to the validity of the count/classification.
