I am new to using this sight so please be patient, what I am wondering is if the Laurel Highland Searchers accepts new members? If so, where and when do the members meet? I am from North Huntingdon and would like to join. Thank you, I hope to hear from someone soon.

As the newest member of the Laurel Highlands Searchers, I can report that this is a great group of folks who are very welcoming and true to the hobby. I found my people! Members pay a small fee per year, all of which goes to support the club.
There are the typical drawings, 50-50, attendance, and other raffles… all of which include nice prizes, coins, gear, a big box slim-jims, stuff like that. Best part is the show and tell, where members bring their best and recent finds.
There is a seeded hunt coming up in May, then again in October…. Really looking forward to that!
Bummer that they are only on the Facebook, as I don’t partake in that myself.
