I know State Parks are off limits so you can't detect on Sandy Hook.

The only public areas I would suggest are public/ NOT private / beaches. Seen many people MDing down in wildwood. Everything is illegal in Jersey. I was born & raised there and it got too much for me. I'm sure their MDing laws are real strict.
