Hello,

Yet another weird find from me. I found these three pieces within a one foot area. I don't know what kind of metal it is, but it bends easy. The two small pieces ( ~0.076" / 1.93mm thick) have two identical circular areas (~12mm diameter) missing, and the circles are not perfect. A crude punch? I have to mention that I have found a lead musket ball in this area and it dates back to the Revolutionary War. I don't know what hunks of soft metal would be doing in the ground and what is up with the two punched holes.

Any ideas? Of course I dream that some Rev soldiers were making musket balls this way (punching out lead and melting into an ingot or whatever.) while they were camped out. But I am sure I am 100% wrong. Anyway, does anyone have an idea of what these are for?

Thanks,
Todd
