Im just guessing but it looks more like a lead gasket to me with the tab for proper alignment.

I guess it could be part of a seal. :dontknow:

This one looks like the larger version of a lead bale seal. It is lead and the size of an average belt buckle. It was found in an older site. Any Ideas?

It came from old country...Who knows :icon_scratch:
Might it be Pewter...Lead Alloy, they made a circular pewter buckle between 1400-1600 :o

It may be a seal, but I don't think it is the cloth or bale type. It just doesn't look right... :icon_scratch:
