Lead token on slave plantation

Half hour ago, I found what I think is a lead token with no visible markings on it. I live on a former slave plantation in Arkansas. Not sure it is, as I've never seen anything similar

Thanks everyone! The pics above are actually after the cleaning (soak in vinegar) and scrub with toothbrush. Here in about 20 minutes, gonna get back to detecting my yard

Btw, by most of the pics on the web, the only civil war dog tags that I've seen that look similar, are Union soldiers' tags from NY and PA. So I'm guessing it's a union soldiers.

Good job. I've only found one in 23 years detecting in arkansas and ex wife still has it. I bet you're towards NE arkansas

Been there a few times myself. My buddy and I used to detect along the arkansas near Ozark and Clarksville area. I haven't been that way in a long time. He moved to Texas and quit detecting and I never went back

This area has lots of history. Youre more than welcome to hunt with me up here. The fiance enjoys detecting too, but sometimes her work schedule doesn't allow her to go with me
