Hi, I'm new here. Looks like I found a smart forum.
I was wondering what this instrument/meter might have been used for. It does not have a model number. It has an Eppley standard voltage cell in it, that appears to contain Hg. The terminals indicate "battery" and "T.C." The dial indicates "I.C. Degrees F." I'm not sure what "T.C." and "I.C." mean.
Any info on date and use would be greatly appreciated!

Seeing DEG F suggests degrees farenheit. The H and L seem to be different scales for DEG F. Searching Google images for that company shows some Pyrometers with gauges that have those same markings. Still not sure what the IC stands for.

"T.C." might stand for thermocouple.
A thermocouple is basically a thermometer that produces an electrical output.
